Join us for the Free At Noon at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, as Ezra Furman performs a live midday concert on Friday.
Ezra Furman is a singer-songwriter from Chicago. Previously the ringleader of the beloved indie rock band Ezra Furman and the Harpoons, he currently works as a solo artist and has released 3 solo albums; his most recent, Perpetual Motion People, came out earlier this year. He currently tours with his backing band as Ezra Furman and the Boy-Friends.
Furman has received critical acclaim as both a member of the Harpoons and a solo artist. The Harpoons' debut 2007 album, Banging Down the Doors, made several best-of-the-year lists. His second solo album, Day of the Dog, received rave reviews from press like The Guardian and NME. Expect an energetic, punky set from Furman and the boys when they play MilkBoy on Saturday, the 8th of August, and when they join us the day before for Free at Noon. Tune in on your radio or join us in person by RSVP-ing at XPN.org.
